Cookie Policy

Pangaea keeps its cookie footprint as small as possible. We use one cookie family — the authentication session — and it is required for the service to function.

The cookies we set

• Authentication session. When you sign in, we set a session cookie so that subsequent requests to the Pangaea server know it is still you. This cookie is marked HttpOnly (not readable by JavaScript), Secure (sent only over HTTPS), and SameSite=Lax (not sent on cross-site requests). It is strictly necessary — if it is blocked, you will not be able to stay signed in.

What we do not use

• We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
• We do not currently use third-party analytics cookies. If that ever changes, this page will be updated before the cookies are set, and we will list every analytics cookie here.

Managing cookies

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Doing so will sign you out of Pangaea and prevent you from signing back in until the auth cookie is re-allowed.
